Subject:
Great show.
EDIT: Track listing is perfect now. I came back to check out the N2F fake > Tribute. That screaming girl sums up my feelings pretty nicely. I had to bump it up a star also.
As the taper said, the quality could be better, but I have heard much worse festival tapes. Umphrey's tears it up, which is no suprise. Also wish the tracks were divided in a more logical way. Why leave the somewhat long intro banter attached to Wife Soup if your going to seperate the track anyway?
Regardless, I've been waiting for some new tapes to hit the archive, and I can't thank you enough for delivering.

good stuff...
great show, very fun. good stew out of intentions.
as far as the recording, i certainly applaud the effort made by the taper, but as he says himself it is not the best recording. the only problem is the bass because it sounds more like rumblings way too low. honestly it kind of makes me cringe, and as someone noted before listening to it on nice speakers is a crime. if you absolutely refuse to buy the show or have no money(like me), this is better than nothing.
as for sunday night, i only saw one taping rig, so probably 1% chance it will make it on the archive. i just bought it, i suggest everyone to do the same.

sunday.
sunday's show was Unbelievable, and i'm agreeing with the past two posts on wondering if the shows even going to get posted!?!...i realize this is becoming repetitive, but...

Okay,
this is a great show and decent recording.
But. I thought the second night was better. Much better, as in one of the best. And I don't want to be a jerk, but is anyone planning on putting that show up here?

Sunday's show was much better!
Still a good show, but definitely not the Umph at their finest. Still waiting to find Sunday's show on here... one of their best!

Harsh Criticism of Tracking
The tracking isn't perfect but it's not exactly easy to track an Umphrey's show (especially if you aren't familiar with all the songs). I though he did a pretty decent job on the cuts at least (except for the Soup). Here's how they came out:
1. Intro, Wife Soup > "Jimmy Stewart"/
2. /"Jimmy Stewart" > Wife Soup
3. JaJunk >
4. Intentions Clear > "Jimmy Stewart" >
5. JaJunk
6. Bad Poker
7. Thin Air
1. The Crooked One >
2. N2F Jam > Tribute to the Spinal Shaft >
3. The Crooked One ->
4. Pay the Snucka Pt. I ->
5. Hangover > Pay the Snucka Pt. II >
6. Pay the Snucka Pt. III >
7. Words
8. Let Me Go Home, Whiskey
9. Wizard Burial Ground
The sound's not the greatest but no complaints here. Thanks for getting this up.
Edit: I disagree with what Xaphist says above. I think this is some of UM at their finest. Between the two shows you have more than a full show of non-stop highlights. Sure, there were some songs I could have lived w/o (ie Words, Whiskey, I Ran, etc.) but you can't overlook the soaring highlights (Soup Stew, Kitchen dance party, N2F fakeout, and the seamless segues into Mocca and Hangover). I would say it was a great weekend with some great playing. Thanks for fixing the tracking btw. Hope my input helped.

Eh, it could have been better
Ive seen umphrey's a few times, but this isnt thier best. They had a sick vibe the whole time, but the music just wasnt up to their par (and i was in a very good state of mind for enjoying music, mind you).

Track Splits
The first reviewer made a comment about track splits. I spent some time with this and figured out (to my total amazement) how to go back and fix tracks splits, change the announce, etc so that everything is better aligned to the actual setlist. I hope that the corrected version checks out with the actual show. I thought it was a great show.
BTW, I'm not sure why the tracks aren't corrected in the listing thingy for previewing the show, but they seem to be correct for downloading.
